Standard specification for resurfacing patellar prosthesis

The ASTM F1672 specification covers patellar resurfacing devices used to provide a functioning articulation between the patella and the femur.

Different performance requirements are described based on the relevant failure modes such as static and dynamic shear testing of device component interfaces or wear testing (see ISO 14243-5).
