DIN 55529 - Packaging – Determining the sealed-seam strength of sealings made of flexible packaging material

This standard applies to the testing of seals of packaging made of flexible packaging materials, e.g. plastic, composite materials, as well as lacquered and printed aluminum foils and papers, whereby the sealing layer can be a plastic, sealing lacquer or a cold sealing material.

The seal strength is determined by angle peel tests using a tensile testing machine.
