Impaction test with spinal interbody implants

This internal test method was developed to investigate the intra-operative behavior of intervertebral body fusion cages during impaction into the intervertebral space. This allows the investigation of potential failure mechanisms such as implantation-induced fracture or abrasion of a surface coating.
