Standard practice for finite element analysis (FEA) of metallic orthopaedic total knee tibial components

The ASTM F3334 standard describes the calculation of stresses on knee tibial components using the FEA (finite element analysis) method. The loading conditions refer to the ASTM F1800 and ISO 14879 standards. This practice can be used to identify the worst-case size for a tibial base plate.
